Azealia Banks graces the cover of Dazed and Confused for their September Issue with a controversial Cover that got the Issue banned in 7 Countries. On the cover, Miss Banks blows up a Condom as if she’s blowing some bubble gum up.

On a more serious note Azealia opened up about Personal Troubles growing up. The troublesome Femcee is known for her twitter beefs with other celebrities as well as fans. But, Judging by her revealing severe abuse and neglect from Her Mother and the death of her father at an early age it might be deeper then Immaturity. But, maybe also from a place of never feeling accepted or wanted. And, from that She feels she has to be outrageous and confrontational to be heard, to be noticed and to never be inferior again as she felt to her mother.

It is often hard to know whether Azealia Banks is being totally authentic and Genuine or if she’s sparking up controversy for the sake of publicity and recognition. But, if this is true it definitely explains more of who Azealia is which is definitely and defiantly controversial, defensive, unapologetic and a damn good artist.

On Her Mother Being Abusive:

After my dad died, my mom became really abusive – physically and verbally. Like she would hit me and my sisters with baseball bats, bang our heads up against walls, and she would always tell me I was ugly.

I remember once she threw out all the food in the fridge, just so we wouldn’t have anything to eat.It was like growing up a feral child, being raised by this person who was always yelling and screaming, hitting you and dragging you around and s***.’

On Being Sexual at a Young Age:

‘Growing up I was so curious about boys. I just loved them. I’d always get my recesses taken away for letting boys touch my butt in the lunch line I got in trouble for fooling around in school a lot. I just wanted to be touched, ya know? I just wanted to have sex. And my mom was always working so there was never anyone around to tell me no.’
